Srinagar, April 20 (KNO) : Stating that nation and state were yearning for big a change, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President and party candidate from Anantnag parliamentary constituency G A Mir Saturday said that the ensuing elections were the fight between constructive and opportunist politics, in which the defeat of betrayal and opportunism was highly inevitable. According to a statement issued to KNO, Mir also said that people of entire Kashmir valley especially the South Kashmir were well aware about the toffee milk gibe, besides dual standards of PDP, which has sacrificed its agenda and consciousness for power by not caring about the urges and aspirations of people who voted for them during 2014 elections. Mir who was leading a mega road show in Dooru Assembly Segment of Anantnag District addressed series of public meetings and sought people’s support to end the political exploitation and betrayal on the part of PDP. “PDP is in habit of seeking forgiveness, from time to time, after surrendering its consciousness and agenda for the sake of coming into power and is now desperate enough about the poll outcome, which is going to disappoint it (PDP),” Mir said The wounds reeked on people of south Kashmir and elsewhere can never be compensated because people have lost their innocent dear ones due to the failure and mis-governance by PDP, which will continue to remain as a big source behind the disillusionment and anger among them (people), Mir said. The people of south Kashmir have faced the brunt of betrayal by PDP and will ensure its defeat, sometimes the PDP Leadership gibe people by saying Milk and Toffee and sometimes it (PDP) tries to woo voters by using tears. Which kind of politics PDP plays for electoral gains in Kashmir, Mir questioned and said people have realized as to who is who and were yearning for change in J&K. Mir emphasized the people to rise to the occasion to defeat the political exploitation on the part of PDP, appealing people not to trust their tears, as that, they have experienced worst during PDP’s three and half year rule, he added and appealed the voters of South Kashmir to ensure victory of Congress Party with a thumping majority. Congress party stands guarantee to equality, safety of people and overall development of the State, Mir said and assured that the Party will do everything to bring respite to people in every respect. Mir also hit out at BJP over using Kashmir for electoral gains and said saffron party will lose the elections miserably, for the fact people in the Country have realized as to what BJP has done during its five year’s misrule and mis-governance. “Using Kashmir for electoral gains has always been on the top of BJPs hidden agenda, but its designs stands exposed, will no longer be able to mislead people over Kashmir situation,” he said.(KNO)
